This lovely vintage original Delft Blue faience box was made by our estimation in 1940s – 1950s. The box is handcrafted and handpainted in the traditional Delft Blue (known in Holland as Delfts Blauw) style.  The lid of this rectangular box is decorated with a beautifully detailed traditional Dutch scene of children and a windmill in the background.

With its intricate blue and white design, this box is perfect for storing small trinkets and treasures, or simply as a decorative piece on its own. The classic Dutch design adds a touch of history and culture to any space, and is sure to be a conversation starter.
