This beautiful ceramic biscuit barrel was made by William Wood & co of Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent, England.

They were manufacturers of general earthenware and architectural pottery including door furniture.

The biscuit barrel has the registration number 368110 which shows that the pattern was registered on 29th December, 1900.

It has EPNS stamped on the handle and lid and the makers mark on the bottom.

It has a silver plated lid and handle and the barrel itself is decorated with sprays of colored flowers on a blue and white background.

It is in remarkably good condition considering its age.

The silver plating is worn, the lid is tarnished and the bottom of the barrel has surface cracks in the glazing.

There are no other chips or cracks.  The inside of the barrel is clean.
