Vintage Rosenthal Kronach Germany ‘Moliere’ Serving Dish. Pre owned. Value R1 115.
Condition – very good vintage condition with no chips, cracks or crazing.
Size – 30 cm from handle to handle and approx. 4 cm deep.
This gorgeous dish from the 1940’s is by Rosenthal and comes from the famous Kronach factory.
The “Moliere” line was in production from 1901 with various patterns and finishes, and is one of most exquisite early Rosenthal productions.
The dish has an embossed and pierced design with sculptured handles on both sides.
It also has painted flowers in beautiful detail and color on an ecru background and with an intricate gold trellis work pattern all around.
It is stamped with the Rosenthal Kronach stamp and numbered with pattern number 2923 and number 9 under it.
The stamp is circa 1940’s.
