Rare Vintage German Rudolstadt Fruit Bowl. VALUE R950.
This is a beautiful Edwardian hand painted pastel colored floral patterned fruit bowl.
It is round in shape with a scalloped rim and was made by the Rudolstadt Works in Bavaria, Germany, in the early 1900’s.
It is etched in gold on an ivory colored background and the scalloped rim has a gold edge. It has a matte finish but the base is glazed.
This bowl has elegance and quality and is an unusual find.
The stamp on the back was in use between 1895 and 1924
Condition: No cracks, chips, repairs, paint loss or discoloration.
There are signs of age and use on the under-side and rim but nothing significant.
Measurements: 28cm in diameter x 4.5cm in height.
