Hospice care is often misunderstood. A common myth is that it’s only for the last few days of life, but it
can be initiated earlier, offering support and comfort during a life-limiting illness. It’s not about giving up
hope or hastening death; rather, it focuses on improving quality of life, managing symptoms, and providing emotional and spiritual support. Hospice care can be provided at home or in various facilities, not just
in a designated hospice facility.
We are thrilled to announce the launch of an exciting new chapter in our growth journey. The beginning of our new building project!
After months in the planning phase, we are overjoyed to have met the requirements
of the building department to both provide adequate space as well as sufficient parking bays for our new offices.
This project reflects our commitment to innovation, sustainability and community.
The new space will not only allow us to expand our services but create a more comfortable space and easier access for our patients and staff alike.
Construction is set to begin in August and completion expected within one year.
Regular updates will be shared as the project progresses.
We express our gratitude to the many foundations, trusts and loyal and ongoing support from our community to make this dream a reality.
The enlistment of Design Ateljee, WRAP and Thys van Rooyen Consulting as well
as various other contractors have immensely aided us with their services on a pro
bono basis.
We’re excited about what this means to our future, and we can’t wait to welcome
you to the new space when its complete.
We thank the Overstrand Community for being a part of our journey.
If there are any donors looking for a worthy and necessary cause to support, or
