Vintage William Page Electroplated Salad Fork. Pre owned in very good condition. Value R250
This fork is a late 19th Century piece.
William Page was one of the first electroplaters and was based in Birmingham.
The fork is clearly stamped on the back WP, EP (electroplated), wheatsheaf and B (quality mark).
Silverplate, meaning it has an electroplated layer of silver on a base metal, a more affordable alternative to solid silver.
The fork is in extremely good condition considering its age with only slight wear of the electroplating on the back.
There are a few superficial scratches from wear.
