Vintage Sterling Silver Serviette Ring. Pre owned in good condition.
This solid silver serviette ring is in good overall condition for its age, with no dents or dings, however the join line is visible.
The rim of the top and bottom of the ring has a scroll running around it.
Apart from the inscription, there is no further decoration on the ring.
Unfortunately, the hallmarks are badly rubbed so it is not possible to decipher the makers marks.
The Anchor mark for Birmingham is just visible, together with the date letter S which dates it to either 1917 or 1942
The lion mark is just visible.
The serviette ring is engraved with the name “Mavis”
The napkin ring is 4.5cm / 1.5” in diameter and 3cm / 1.2ins deep.
It weighs in at 27g of solid Sterling
