Queen Anne bone china, produced by Ridgway Potteries Ltd., was a brand name introduced in the late 1940’s by Shore & Coggins and later used by Ridgway Potteries for their bone china from 1960’s to the 1980’s. A lovely vintage 21 piece tea set in a delicate pale turquoise blue and yellow floral pattern on a white background with elegant gold trim. Backstamped “Ridgway Potteries Ltd Made in England”.
The set comprises 6 tea cups, saucers and side plates, 1 large cake plate, a milk jug and a sugar bowl. The cups are 8.5cm wide and 7cm tall. The circular side plates have a diameter of 16cm and the oval cake plate measures 26cm X 24cm. The sugar bowl is 11cm wide and the milk jug, from the lip to the end of the handle, is 14cm wide. The whole set is in excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks and very little if any crazing.
