Beautiful Vintage Chinese porcelain vase

Description

Vintage Chinese porcelain vase. Pre owned in excellent condition. Value R1 800

This is a contemporary Chinese porcelain vase produced in Jingdezhen in the mid to late 20^th Century  specifically from the 1960’s to the 1980’s.

It is a 33cm tall flattened oval shaped vase also referred to as the Moon Flask shape.

The hand painted decoration depicts a persimmon branch with a deep cobalt blue underglaze for the leaves mixed with an iron red/brown overglaze enamel for the fruit.

Based on the 33cm size, hand-painted underglaze artistry, and fluid hand written factory mark, this vase is a decorative export or domestic display piece created within the last few decades rather than a classical antique.

It is, however, beautiful and in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
