Vintage 800 Egyptian Silver Repousse Earrings. pre owned in excellent condition.
A beautiful pair of silver repousse Egyptian dangle earrings. They have beautiful arabesque designs achieved by hammering against a mold. The earrings were made from Egyptian silver. Assay marks can be found on the ear wires and one of the dangles on each earring. The earrings are likely from the late 1950s or early 1960s.
They are shaped like a teardrop with five dangles: stylized fingers to protect from envy. The earrings are in excellent vintage condition.
Egyptian jewelry is quite varied from the sophisticated filigree in urban areas to the exotic designs of the Fallah jewelry to the Berber motifs of Siwa Oasis and the bold and minimalistic patterns of Nubia.

- The length from the top of the ear wires to the bottom of dangles is 7 cm (2 3/4″).
- The width is 2.5 cm (1″) at the widest.
