Silver handled Carving Knife and Sharpening Steel

This beautiful vintage carving knife and sharpening steel with sterling silver handles was made by D & J Welby, silversmiths of London.

The handles are dated 1923.

They are in the Fiddle Shell & Thread pattern and are monogrammed with a family crest.

The knife is 36cm long and the sharpening steel is 32cm long.

The handles of the knife and steel are in excellent condition.

The blades are marked from use and age.

The hallmarks are clear and legible and there are no dents or significant scratches.
