Rosenthal Magic Horse Series Plates Value: R1 200

Three Rosenthal Germany “Zauberpferd” Magic Horse collector series plates, designed by Bjorn Wiinblad.

The plates are part of a series of 12 scenes from the Magic Horse story from the collection of Arabic tales, “1001 Nights.”

All three plates are in excellent condition with no cracks or chips.

On the back of the plates is the German description of the scene in gold cursive, and a hanging hook.

On offer are plates 1, 3 and 4.

Scene I: “The magical peacock of gold”
Three magicians from India hold on to the hand of the daughter of the king of Persia. The first magician brings the king a magical peacock of gold.

Scene III: “The magician brings a magic horse”
The third magician brings the king a magic horse that can fly in a short time to the most distant of countries.

Scene IV: “Enthralled by the beautiful horse, the son of the king climbs onto the horse and the duo fly out of the window into the dark of night.

Each plate measures 16cm in diameter.
