Description
This is one of many Coins/Medals by Author Karel Zeman 1949 – AE Medal 1995-for the 350th anniversary of the successful defence of Brno 1645. Value: R850
It is made of pinchbeck, which is a form of brass, an alloy of copper and zinc mixed in proportions so that it closely resembles gold in appearance. It is a heavy item.
The bust on the one side of the coin is facing left, in front of the face there is a raised sword in his right hand, with the inscription RADUIT DE SOUCHES.
On the rear of the coin is the Brno coat of arms from the years 1646-1934, with an inscription around the edge. It is signed “ K Zeman 1995”.
