Midwinter Stylecraft Staffordshire Tea Set 16 piece. Pre Owned. Value: R1500.
This tea set is a wonderful example of the Midwinter designs from the 1950’s and 1960’s. It is beautifully decorated in a turquoise colour with a white floral decoration and platinum trim. The design is known as ‘Meadowsweet” and the shape is in the Classic Style.
Condition: In excellent, hardly used condition. The teapot has inside crazing but there are no chips or cracks on any of the pieces. The silver trim loss and the pattern is perfect – no wear or fading.
The set consists of 4 cups, 4 saucers, 4 side plates, a teapot, milk jug, sugar bowl and cake plate.
Measurements: Teacup diameter – 8.5cm: Saucer diameter – 13.5cm: Side plate diameter – 17.5cm: Cake plate diameter – 25cm diameter: Milk jug – 8cm high x 14cm handle to lip: Teapot 15cm high x 22cm handle to lip: Sugar bowl – 7cm high x 11cm diameter.
