This spring, Overstrand Hospice invites our community to come together for Pink Trees for Pauline 2026 – a colourful cancer awareness initiative that turns ordinary trees into powerful symbols of hope, support and remembrance.
From mid-September until the end of October 2026, towns, schools, businesses, organisations and individuals are encouraged to dress their trees in bright pink fabric and help spread a message of unity throughout the Overstrand.
Wrapped in Colour. United in Hope.
Pink Trees for Pauline is about far more than decorating trees.
Every metre of pink fabric purchased helps raise funds that can make a direct, positive difference in the community by supporting local cancer programmes and patients.
By wrapping a tree in pink, you are helping create a visible reminder of the many people and families whose lives have been touched by cancer.
Imagine streets, gardens, schools and businesses across Hermanus and the Overstrand filled with pink trees – each one representing awareness, compassion and hope.
How to Take Part
Getting involved is easy:
Purchase your official Pink Trees for Pauline fabric from Overstrand Hospice for R50 per metre, choose a tree at your home, school, business or organisation, and dress it in pink.
Encourage your friends, neighbours and colleagues to join you and help us turn the Overstrand pink!
