Wedgwood, established in 1759 by Josiah Wedgwood, is renowned for its pioneering work in pottery and ceramic design.

The Black Basalt line, introduced in the 18th century, is particularly notable for its rich, matte black finish that closely resembles the appearance of lava or basalt rock.

This small footed bowl, with its classic, understated design, showcases the unique texture and deep color that is characteristic of Black Basalt pieces.

It often features simple yet elegant shapes, allowing the material itself to take center stage.

Collectors and enthusiasts admire these bowls for their historical significance and timeless beauty, making them a cherished addition to any collection of fine ceramics.
