M DELFT BLAAU OUDE MOLEN FABRIEK BLUE & WHITE TRANSFER PRINT TEAPOT.  Pre Owned.  Value: R500.

This is a beautiful teapot and lid made by M Delft Blaauw Oude Molen Fabriek, Holland.  It features a traditional blue and white design.  The decoration depicts a Dutch landscape scene with a windmill and sailboats, often found on this type of ceramic.  It is in extremely good used condition with no cracks, chips or crazing.  It stands 16cm high to top of lid and measures 25cm from spout to handle.

Teapots such as this are frequently marketed as souvenirs or collector’s items rather than functional daily ware.
