Description

“Bell China” Bone China Coffee Set c.1930’s.  VALUE: R1250.

Bell China is associated with Shore & Coggins, a Staffordshire pottery company that operated from 1911 to 1966.  Under the trade name “Bell China,” they crafted elegant bone china pieces in both floral and Art Deco styles.

We have 12 smaller round shaped coffee cups and saucers with a small milk jug/ creamer

Set  are pattern 4625 which is a very pretty pastel coloured Pansie design with gold handles and gold trim on the base, inside the rims of the cups and around the edge of the saucers and plates.

The square side plates are 15.5cm x 15.5cm and the 1 cake plates measure 21.5 x 20cm.  The smaller coffee cups are 6.5cm wide by 6 cm tall and the creamer is 7cm tall by 5 cm wide.

A very pretty set of. There are some with related marks /stains in the bottom of some of the cups that may come out with a good wash. There is also the odd indiscernible crack, and some gilding wear in places but no chips.

This set displays beautifully and would certainly make a statement on your vintage high tea table.
