4 “Solin Ware” two handled soup bowls and saucers in a burgundy and off white colour, with gold leaf and scroll patterns around the outside of the bowls and on the saucers, and with gold rims. VALUE R900.00 (R240 EACH)
The bowls and saucers all have minor crazing in the glaze but there are no cracks or chips. The bowls do have some staining.
Bowls are 12.5cm in diameter and 18cm wide (including the handles)
Saucers are 17cm in diameter
Both items are stamped “Solin Ware Simpson Potters Ltd, Cobridge, England. This pottery, which operated from 1947 – 1976, is well known for the famous “Belle Fiori” pattern
