This attractive blue and white octagonal plate depicts Canterbury in 1794.
Diameter: 24,5 cm.
The plate is in good used condition with no chips or cracks and only slight staining on the underside due to wear.
Johnson Brothers was a British tableware manufacturer and exporter.
They were noted for their early introduction of semi-porcelain tableware.
It was among the most successful Staffordshire potteries which produced tableware.
Much of it exported to the United States, from the 1890s through to the 1960.
This is a beautiful addition to any collection of plates.
Perfect to display against a wall or group with smaller plates with similar patterns.
